We stayed here for two nights and enjoyed our stay. The pub has nicely appointed rooms and you can feel the history in the oak beamed bar. The bed was really comfy but the shower could do with a bit more oomph. Overall the food was good. The full English and the fish and chips were the highlights. Downside is there is no car park so you will have to use the pay car park close by or take your chances on the road outside.
We've been to Rye before and actually eat here then, but this time was better. The staff were friendly and welcoming (shout out to Charlie). The food was delicious, especially the desert. The apple pie ice-cream was wonderous! All topped off with a pint of top ale. The cost of the whole thing by no means broke the bank, so this was just the cherry on the cake.

Stayed here recently for a weekend and can honestly say it was the best stay I’ve had in a long time! The room was immaculate & the bed was beyond comfortable. Staff super friendly and the food was lovely in the restaurant. Will definitely be back for another great stay, thank you ?
