Went during lunch time, cafe was busy but staff was welcoming and attending everyone with the same care and smiles. At the same time, food came promptly and was great. Definitely recommend it and will definitely go back if in the area.

Nice pleasant service with nice snacks for a quick stop Wheelchair easy and my mum likes to drop in there for a tea and sometimes just some chips or toast to break up the day

I visited this cafe with my husband, 2 small children, and dog in the summer holidays. Specifically staffed by those with learning disabilities, it's a wonderful venture to support in the local community. The staff are lovely and will stop for a chat. We stopped for coffee and cake which were both absolutely delicious. The ambience is very relaxed. We will definitely return for future visits.

Small but great food, both meals and cakes. Very good value, and polite friendly staff. Better coffee than usual high street brands in my opinion.

My partner and I often visit Rye for a day out and we have now made this place our go-to place for lunch. The staff in there are lovely and the supervisors are so very kind and understanding with them. The food is simple fayre which you must expect given what it is set up for. We’ve always had great service and food. Those complaining below must understand that you need to be just a little bit more patient and tolerant. It’s not the Ivy and was never meant to be so. It’s a great little venture and long may it prosper.

Great food, especially the lunches and breakfast. We love popping in for a snack during different times of the year and watch the Rye world go by from their great view point on the Highstreet. The staff are great and we enjoy being served by everyone. The Trust does some beautiful work in their craft departments and these are on display in their always very creatively dressed window.

Lovely little cafe which helps those with learning difficulties to feel valued members of the community overseen by other staff members. The food is well cooked but can get a little crowded in the tourist season and therefore you may have to wait a little time.

The place looks good as does the food, however after sitting at the table for 20 minutes I gave up and left, I told a waitress that we were leaving and she just shrugged her shoulders.

The Mariners Restaurant in Rye is a great friendly place to eat and eating there benifits society, too. The staff at The Mariners have varying degrees of learning difficulties but this does not affect either the quality of the food or the service received. Everyone is friendly and different dietary requirements are catered for and overall I can thoroughly recommend this wonderful restaurant.

Simple food and welcoming. I have to eat a reduced carbohydrate diet and they turned one of their sandwiches into a salad for me at no extra cost. It looked beautiful and tasted great.
