Bought a 1 night stay for my parents at this pub/hotel - The overall review from them wasn't great.Location - Good, nice and central. Car park limitedService - Unfriendly staff, tried to rescue a bad dinner service but weren't overly friendly. Staff were pushy about booking a Valentines Day mealFood - This was the main issue. Dinner was poor (steak tough and limited options available on the menu)

Service very entertaining, food fairly good, liver a bit over-done but burgers nice. Had run out of two of their seven scallop dishes by 7pm on the first day of scallop week, which wasn't very impressive.

Called last wed 31st january, midday,for something to eat,I got a couple of drinks,sat down.After a while my wife went to the bar to order some food.After paying and sitting down i realised she had paid to much for our food.Went back to the bar to find out why, i was told it was a service charge added.What service,thanks for nothing.Check price first when order.
