Lovely pub restaurant, delicious catch of the day (Bream). Drinks are more expensive than other places in the area but is a good atmosphere.

Had a lovely Sunday lunch here, a really nice pub with a good selection of food and drinks. The pub is clean and comfortable, busy in the weekend.

Came here for dinner on Saturday and I would say it was average. The service was quite slow had to wait a while to order and couldn’t catch any of the staffs attention as they were all behind the bar. The starters were great but the mains very mediocre, I had the fish and chips and it was like I was just eating batter! Hardly any fish in there! I must add we had dinner here last year and it was brilliant! Maybe they were just busy having an off day. Apart from that I would recommend if in the area.

Beautiful pub with amazing food. We had moules frites, whitebait, and homemade gnocchi. The service was impeccable even as the pub was really busy, the food was high quality. Totally recommended!
I didn’t stay in but had a meal which was absolutely delicious, one of the best fish n chips I had in years!

Nearly walked past but very glad we didn’t. Short rib of beef and bream between us were both way above expectations, both totally delicious! Thanks The Standard, we’ll be back, hasta la vista etc ?

It’s central in Rye. But we paid £24 just for two tiny bits circled with purée clauiflower and I avoided the chilli oil circle. Because the chillies that put on the skins of the sea bass. Made my nose really itchy. So I was slightly sensitive to it.There was no extras with it so we bought winter greens and it was only cabbage. Everything was tasty though. The staff were helpful.
