Even though I donât live locally any more, I always ensure Iâve been to Shaneâs on every visit. Shane and Barry are exceptional hosts/chefs who always make you feel welcome and cook exquisite food. I have frequently heard other customers say, âOh, itâs like The Ivy!â And theyâre right. Theyâve recently been awarded 5* and thatâs no great surprise.
I mean just look at the size of those brownies. This is one of those times where a picture paints a thousand words. Lovely little cafe, great staff, brilliant BLT and cakes to die for. Warning! Wear a loose waistband ?

We all had post boxing day cabin fever so took a bus trip into Rottingdean without a plan. Shane's Kitchen was the first cafe open and we are so glad that fate sent us here, from the fabulous decor to the fantastic service with festive cakes to die for, we just had the best time! Barry was so lovely to us and made our experience and everyone arounds so special! This will definitely our new spot in 2024!
