I enjoyed a delicious lunch today in the lounge. It’s a special offer of two courses for £15 or three for £17.50.A small choice of well executed seasonal dishes. Pleasant atmosphere and nice service in this historic building. There is a ramp at the rear for the less mobile. I would highly recommend this offer for value and enjoyment.

We had a 1 night stay for our anniversary on the 27th jan. On arrival we were told that we had been upgraded, the room was outstanding, so very grateful. Little touches were a card and chocolates. Staff are amazing and so is the food. We'll definitely be coming backRooms: Totally amazing and so clean, everything you needed

A real gem of a hotel no self service, everything served at the table, fantastic food and great selection, all set in lovely grounds will definitely visit

Saturday lunch - plenty of choice on the very special menu currently offered £15 2 course, £17.50 3 course. Stayed before in the Nevill suite and very much enjoyed but this time just for lunch simply couldn't be ignored at that price. Sweet, honest and relaxed service throughout very comfortable seating (even heated banquette seating) with much better views than that had from the previous location of restaurant. The food was absolutely first class, do go for the sharing bread board if you have a big appetite, we then had Parsnip soup and Ham croquettes to start with, Beef Stew with heritage carrots and Bacon Collar and Onion for mains along with a side of hot and crispy fries, followed by 2 amazing desserts, Treacle Tart clotted cream with orange, and a Pear and lemon Masterpiece. Horsted Place looked in great form and felt very country house luxury without too many formalities but great linen, food, service and decor. Next time we shall overnight again even if we are local.

I had the pleasure of photographing a beautiful wedding here last summer, the venue itself is stunning and impeccably well cared for. The staff are courteous and paid excellent attention to detail. The venue itself is an absolute joy to photograph as its grounds and fascinating little rooms make for a lot of opportunities. Looking forward to working here again in the future.

A beautiful luxurious and elegant hotel with gorgeous grounds. I’ve visited for lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and as a guest and I cannot fault the staff and food. It’s such a treat. The last visit I took both my small children who loved running around the grounds. 100% recommend.Rooms: Clean, elegant and spacious.Nearby activities: Lots to do nearby. Visit Lewes, Eastbourne, walks from the doorstep.

Had an afternoon tea for a 25th wedding anniversary in the Garden Room for 30+ people and the quality of the food and the waiting staff were excellent. Would thoroughly recommend this location.
