A great, friendly pub in Uckfield to visit. Staff and customers all friendly and having a good time. The beer is excellent, and well kept. I'll be back for more next time I'm in town!

Attracted by the Harvey's - which turned out to be perfect - we paid The Alma a visit early on a Saturday evening. Very friendly pub clearly a hit with the locals. The food was very fresh, well presented, and tasty. Good value too. The only drawback was the nasty tasting guacomole (first-world problems eh?) served with my daughter's nachos - the staff said "well it's not out of date so it's OK" and gave it back. Nine of us visited The Alma for an early supper, a traditional pub. Parking was easy as there is a carpark plus on street parking. Really good varied menu, everyone commented that there was a number of things on the menu they would be happy to have. From burgers to scampi to duck breast - all were tasty decent sized portions. Those that had chips said they were very good. Good selection of gins. We'll happily visit again.
