Good atmosphere, and a nice buzz with friendly staff, I hope after quite a few proprietors in the last few years it settles down. As a coeliac, the pub needs to offer more gluten free beer, other than just peroni (and we don't always want to drink cider) There are two breweries nearby, Lakedown and The Gun Brewery who do great gluten free beer options and sell to local establishments too. I would go to their taprooms in preference because of this.

Went for an evening meal which was great! Really good choice for GF and excellent service. Food was prompt to arrive, tasty and attentive staff. Especially enjoyed meeting Duncan! Good value, plenty of parking, no negatives from us!

We went there on two occasions as we were staying at the Blue Cap Farm campsite. Really lovely and friendly staff who helped us get a taxi on a Sunday! Very tasty and generous portions for Sunday Roast. Also very clean loos. A great pub.

I would like to thank all the staff but Jess in particular for going the extra mile for our little gathering last evening….. it was no mean feat sorting us all out and the meals were very good. There was a small comment that the scouse stew was a little too liquid…soup like…but still tasty…. But it was a lovely evening…thank you x

My wife and I went for lunch here today. We had appetisers and a main each. The food was truly wonderful. I've included some photos, but in each case, we'd already eaten a bit, so anyone reading this needs to take that into account. Best food I've had anywhere for several years. AND the service was both friendly and speedy.

Amazing service, under new management and the food is exquisite. I have tried nearly everything on the menu and am yet to be disappointed!Caters to allergies and chef is happy to alter dishes to suit lactose.

Went for a family meal out. Can not fault it at all. Very varied menu with something for everyone. Starters were amazing, I had the battered ribs. Then one of the best burgers I have ever had, wow! The sticky toffee pudding is out of this world. Everyone was very happy and will 100% be back. Great prices and lovely staff.

Absolutely amazing vibrant green curry, perfectly spiced. Other half had prawn linguine which was superb. Starters were really good. Desserts were so lovely and fresh and again great choice. Great menu overall, loads of choice. Superb price and brilliant staff. Will definitely be back.
