I had the mixed grill but the duck (I think that's what it was) was overcooked and dry. Service was also questionable. They bought us someone else's starter and then served us a seafood risotto when we ordered chicken risotto.Finally, it took an absolute age to get the bill and we had to ask for it on multiple occasions.

Wow! What a day, even the little bit of rain didn’t stop a wonderful day.From the first moment my husband and I came to look at this venue we knew it would be the perfect place to host our sons wedding reception.Ash was amazing! He was great in giving us plenty of options for menu, we had a lovely meal whilst discussing wedding reception arrangements, Ash was so accommodating, communication leading up to the event was smooth, whatever we needed was given.The staff were are so friendly, very hard working, On the day of the reception I couldn’t believe how amazing the decor looked,All our guests were very relaxed, they enjoyed the atmosphere and complemented the fab menu that we picked.The staff worked really hard on the day, one of my guests even had a food allergy and the staff we so careful and catered for her.This is the perfect place to have a wedding reception, we had a big bouncy castle on the green and plenty of parking for our guests.A massive thank you Ash for letting us have our sons wedding reception here.

This is my favourite restaurant in the whole of Essex. Ash & his team are so welcoming and friendly always! Above all, the food is excellent and we enjoy coming here. I would highly recommend this place and have told others to visit.Parking: Spacious parking, we have never had a problem getting a parking space.

It is a beautiful place, The restaurant is clean and very well laid out. Service was spot on with lovely staff . Food choice was great, I had the lamb shank highly recommended. Cannot wait to go back.

This was our first visit but it certainly won't be the last. The staff were very friendly and service was excellent. The food was delicious and compared well with other restaurants. We were lucky to have entertainment as well. A lovely singer, dressed in 1940s forces uniform singing old songs. Most delightful experience. ?
1st visit and a nice surprise. Neat tables all ready for visitors. Pleasant service throughout but more importantly a terrific choice on the menu catering for all tastes and at good value. Super quality meals and very good portions. We will be back!

We eat here regularly for many years now and love everything about this place. Never had a bad meal ill eat most things on the menu and many are really delicious . The staff and management are consistently great hosts with regular events and facilities for large private family or group events.Dietary restrictions: If you ask most things are possible with a skilled kitchen team

Almost empty on a Sunday lunchtime when we arrived.Waiter a tad too enthusiastic, gave us about 15 seconds before asking for drinks order.My starter of Calamari, needed about 30 seconds more cooking.My main was a Saltimbocca, sadly the Italian ham used was so salty it overwhelmed the veal.Pancakes for dessert were superb!

The venue was almost empty when we arrived at 1300 on a Sunday. Huge restaurant took a while to order. Though waiter gave us about 15 seconds before asking for drinks order! My starter of fried calamari felt like it came out about 30 seconds too early. My main was a veal Daltimbovca, the Italian ham used was too salty and massively impacted upon the flavour. The potatoes and veg were very nice. My partner did enjoy her main and starter. For dessert I had exceptionally good pancakes!
