Five friends wanted to meet in a central area, and we decided on Billericay. We wanted an easy lunch and decided on Flamingo, which had been recommended. We didn't opt for the afternoon tea - do remember that you have to book for afternoon tea. And, the delights being served up looked fabulous, as did the hot chocolate! But, our crowd opted for sandwiches, ploughmans, a crispy lentil bake, a jacket potato (with Coronation Chicken) and a chicken/bacon/avocado salad. Everything was absolutely delicious - no complaints whatsoever. We all had two teas/coffees per person and the bill came to around £17 per person. We were there for well over 2 hours. We had two lovely servers, who were delightful. The venue was packed and people were being turned away ....... so, again, please book. The menu is quite extensive, which was pleasing. We loved it and will definitely return. Thank you.

Went there today for the first time - it was pouring with rain and I just randomly popped in to get out the rain and have a late lunch. I hate a lovely decaf coffee -(vegan milk available) and a grilled hallumi cheese which was gorgeous and a nice sandwich, everything felt lovingly put together- great service - tasty & reasonably prices , plus the cafe itself had a warm atmosphere

We visited Flamingo for an afternoon tea, a gift card tea from the family, and were very impressed with the quality and freshness of the sandwiches, warm sausage rolls, scones, and dainty cakes. Clotted cream and jam completed the picture. Everything was home made, and the presentation with vegetable trims and exotic fruits, set the whole scene for a pleasant afternoon. Earl grey tea and a flat white coffee were also included, although we had to pay for a refill coffee. Service was great and personable.

I surprised my partner with brunch here for his birthday this week. What a wonderful experience!I popped in to ask in advance about brunch and was advised to book in just in case the venue got busy. By the time we had finished brunch, it was indeed very busy.We started with a red velvet (him) and turmeric latte (me). The first pleasant surprise was the size of the cup. In an age where lattes are generally served in thimbles, it made a change to receive a tasty hot latte that wasn't all foam in a cup that held a decent volume of liquid.We both went for the full English breakfast and were again pleasantly surprised with the amount of food received. Two sausages is almost unheard of these days.Everything tasted wonderful, including the mushrooms. The sausages were great quality. A really good quality breakfast at a very reasonable price.The service was friendly, with a smile.As it got busier, it was a little less easy to catch the attention of our server. We did notice a couple come and go after waiting to be attended to for more than a few minutes.Overall, our personal experience, however, was wonderful. We will definitely be back and am glad to have found a regular brunch and latte haunt.You can tell a lot of care and attention has gone into running such a great place.Flamingo is a reminder of how service and quality used to be as standard and why it's so important to support local independent businesses.
Me and my husband went here for a cream tea using one of those vouchers. We thought it was delicious! Lovely service and just the right amount of food. Don’t understand the negative reviews regarding the voucher cream tea, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you!!
