We turned up here today with our dog in tow and they accommodated us even though it was a busy sunday it is best to book if you can for a sunday, the portions are generous and worth the money.The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is warm if you're in the area with a dog i would highly recommend coming

This was our first time at the Fox and Hounds but it won't be our last.Good food, great atmosphere and friendly staff.My wife had the steak and ale pie and I had sirloin steak. Both things we can recommend.

Very disappointed, went for lunch on my birthday. 4 adults 2 children. Service was not good at all. Waited ages for starters then they bought out one of my granddaughters main with our starters, peas were missing.Mains, seafood linguine was cold in the middle and toad in the hole was burnt underneath and stuck to the dish so couldn't eat it, would have sent it back but we waited so long we didn't bother.24th Feb 2024

Nice pub , lovely food and great staff. Pub also has live music and good beer selection and will definitely go back in the summer as I went on a cold winter night ... the open fire was a great touchParking: Little parking lot but managed to get spot after a few mins , it's abit tight

Vegetarian options: Really enjoyed the Moosaka at the Fox & Hounds. This was the first time we ate here.My vegan partner wants to go back and try the Moosaka. Nice cosy environment and service was good, we'll be back again in the future.Dietary restrictions: Serves vegetarian and vegan dishes.

Beautiful country pub! Sat by the fire and enjoyed the best toad in the hole I’ve ever had. Absolutely recommend!
Our second visit and again it didn’t disappoint. Atmosphere and food was awesome and Jodie our waitress was spot on. Very attentive, nothing was too much trouble and nice to have a friendly chat. The smell and warmth of the open fire when we retired to the bar was a lovely finish to the evening. Would highly recommend.

Met friends who live in Essex-we live in Kent-what an amazing pub and staff were so welcoming and friendly.. worth the hour drive and we will be back.. food was delicious and Paula who served us and looked after us all evening was the icing on the cake.. such a lovely lady.. can’t wait to go again

Superb venue. Excellent staff. Wonderful food. Only person who had a gripe was for the burger - a bit dry overall he said. Pies excellent and main fish dish of skate wing to die for.

Had a large group Christmas meal here and the food was amazing, great service and good atmosphere. Will be visiting again :)

On arrival there were men smoking weed outside and that wasn’t very pleasant as you entered the pub. We had been recommended to go here from a friend who had heard it was nice and lives in the area. Table of 9 and we were put in the conservatory area which was freezing and a real disappointment, not quite the cosy leisurely lunch we were hoping the day before Christmas Eve. There was a gas heater in there that chucked out an intense burst of heat which we had to turn off because it was so hot And was really noisy that we couldn’t hear each other talking. Once it went off the temperature dropped so quickly. Real mixed bag for lunch as well - some of us enjoyed our meals and half didn’t. It was pretty disappointing to be honest especially when the bill came and it £400. But it’s trial and error and you don’t know until you try - we wouldn’t return nor recommend. I think it’s very much a locals pub and we felt out of place. The service by the 2 round waitresses was very good, lovely polite girls who worked very hard. So well done girls.
