Nice friendly and clean local. Much better than the Bell pub braintree. Worth that little walk. No kids running around with drunk parents.

I think it's only fair to start this review and get straight to the point. I was very pleasantly surprised by how nice this pub is! From the outside, you get the impression it's a bit dpit and sawdust. How wrong I was!Its layout is great with the 2 bars, a pool room, and a well designed garden patio area with covered seating and subtle lighting.The place was extremely well looked after, cleared regularly, and this includes the toilets. The staff were very polite and courteous, so they added to the evening as a whole.

Pub closed before 11pm on a Saturday night ? Not very convenient for people who work in the evenings. Or anyone, really. .... closed tonight 09/07/23 at 11pm with a stag party in ? ? ? think someone needs to review the business model ...

Only stayed for 1 drink but seemed a nice atmosphere in there. Although it did kick off by a gentleman called Daryl and he did punch and rip another gentleman t-shirt. We will visit again though.
Traditional pub with well kept real ales, lately from Bishop Nick brewery, which if a few doors away. Large beer garden and friendly, efficient staff.

it is so much better now it has been redecorated and the manager and his team are very friendly and made us feel very welcome as new clients we will definitely be going back and hopefully will take friends as well ?
