Used to eat and drink here before new owners the previous owner would be ashamed of the state of the place if I could post pictures of the disgusting state of the ladies loos I would. Don't think the toilets have been cleaned since before old owner, tap is not working properly the all step is broken and there is an inch of dust everywhere wall need wiping. Glad they don't do food anymore would hate to think what the kitchen would be like.?

Fantastic pub , Mick and Veronica are superb hosts , great selection of beers and ales, they even have food trucks that attend on a weekly basis. The also have an excellent garden. Best pub in Braintree by a country mile.

So having never been to this pub, table was sticky, i found a parking space, however, others feel its ok to block you in, they double park down the middle!! Idiots! I did manage to get out with eyes watching, so wont be frequenting this pub again.

Just a good pub with good staff. The landlord and landlady are very nice people which always helps. A lot of good people go in the Horse and Groom.

Friendly pub with great beer. Went last night to see the Flab Four, Beatles tribute band. Absolutely stunning.

Not a place I would choose to drink in. Only went in side where pool table was and dfelt like on top of each other. Everyone can hear your conversation. Pub was clean and landlord was friendly
