Bought petrol here on June 17. Today, August 31, I receive a letter (the first and only one) from Debt Recovery Plus saying I've ignored all their previous letters and owe £175 for an unpaid parking charge or will be taken to court. I literally filled up with fuel and left to continue my drive home, so was in the Petrol Station for 5 - 10 minutes max. On what basis could I have received this parking charge? No information on how to appeal. Will never use this or any other Shell petrol station ever again - I can't afford to...

The floor and surrounding tiles in the ladies' toilet look like they haven't been cleaned in years. Disgusting! The shop looked OK and staff were pleasant so 3 stars not 1.

Whoever the older guy is that works nights here needs a massive talking to.. very rude and very slow. I’ve spent 10mins knocking on the window and he’ cleaning the coffee machine. Hasn’t turned around once to acknowledge me. Not my first encounter with him as I’ve noticed his attitude previously.

Discussed at Shell operating parking charges for its Shell South Weald Service Station. Purchased £80 of good and was charged £100 parking fine for staying 23 mins!!!!

Careful here - I was just about to leave the forecourt when an old couple drove in with a flat tyre. We stayed to give them a hand changing the wheel so they could get on their way. I've now been sent a £100 fine for staying to long in the forecourt! Money grabbing b@#&£s!

I used the pump quite often.Last night the guy behind to count closed the door while I was filling.I requested him if I can use the loo. As it was just few minutes to 11pm.He was rude. I requested him again. As a cabby I have drive through out the night. No remorse, sorry shell you just lost about £2000 monthly from me.I will pass this on to other cabby to boycott Shell.

15 MIN £100 PARKING FINE WARNING - SHAME ON SHELL. UPDATE Note reading other reviews it could be only 15 mins allowed, shockingly shameful practice, I presumed it was 30 minutes as below, 15 minutes SHAME. Absolute no care for customers Shell, shame on you for running a money making 30 minutes parking time limit, I came off the M25 feeling tired I stopped at this garage and was there for 41 minutes in which time I reasonably got a coffee from the Shell shop and drank it in the car before going on with journey safely, then to receive a £100 fine in the post for being a customer at your garage and shop for 11 minutes longer than I had any idea I was allowed. I did not see signs and it’s is outrageous to limit customers to 30 minutes. Shame on Euro Car Parks and shame in Shell. 30 minutes is not sufficient for a normal visit to a garage placed off of a motorway, 60 minutes or 2 hours is a reasonable limit. Unimpressed, will avoid Shell garages like the plague. Be warned Shell customers.

Rolled in with a flat tyre caused by pothole on A12 with the intention of waiting for assistance and sorting it there. Saw the signs for 15 minute parking and thought it best to ask for permission to park there. The staff was taciturn or useless, nothing they can do about the time limit but they could sell me an air freshener or a cappuccino. So fantastically and memorably rubbish, I don't think I will be using Shell anytime soon. I don't care that this was a local franchise or whatever, the damage is done.

Do not visit here. If you stay longer than 15 minutes, you will receive a parking charge notice. Shell customer service cannot cancel it, so each visit here costs you 60-100 pounds extra.

The most dirty toilets and Costa coffee machines - hold off if you can or wear a mask and sanitise ?

Toilets are very un hygienic and can tell they are not cleaned regular. Have Notified the council as well
