The staff here went above and beyond adapting the menu and checking their ingredients to accommodate my new food allergies. Our waitress was very polite and friendly. We have often eaten here and find the whole experience relaxing and friendly with good food.

What a Christmas disappointmentI arrived 5 minutes later than my friend but she was sat at 6pm.We thought we booked Xmas dinner but to our Surprise we only revived a normal menu. The waitress was very kind and checked with the kitchen that we could have the three course Xmas menu.Before this We waited Half an hour and not one waitress approached us to offer anything. I then had to get up and ask someone for drinks. The young waitress was very sweet and took our drinks order. We only had our mock tails order and the water we requested we did not receive. After waiting half an hour I again had to get a waitress’s attention for our waterStarter came and we were happy with the foodMains…. My friend received her main first which was Luke warm, I received my side of green beans but was left waiting for my main and also left with no replacement of cutlery for either of us, So again I had to get up and find a waitress for cutlery to eat. Also every single table had two peppers and each and no salt to be seen.So we ended up eating separately which is extremely disappointing as this was our Christmas meal.Finally cleared of our mains and had our desert order taken which we then had to wait for an extremely long time to receiveThen had to go to the staff to pay as nobody cleared us or asked if we wanted anything elseI have worked and managed hospitality for years and although the waitress was very sweet the whole staff service was pure laziness. The older waitress who looked like the Manager was the worst of them all.The restaurant was not busy at all and plenty of staff to cover the tables.The place was dirty, food was average and service just shocking.I understand you may be tired from Xmas but staff should be sharp on a QUIET Friday night before Xmas.When we paid the bill I was extremely hesitant to pay the service charge due to the lack of service but the young girl was very sweet and it’s ChristmasWhoever is managing this is failing. I have run bigger restaurants with hundreds of Customers and have never delivered such a poor and lazy service for a small amount of tables. I can’t believe the good reviews you have are real. I will never visit again

Our first visit to Wildwood (Chelmsford), the decor and atmosphere, were just perfect. A new member of staff served us, she was very tentertive and caring. We placed our order, when the food arrived, the smell and the presentation were brilliant. The taste of our meals was so good. The flavours mixed so well. We ended the meal with a coffee and a sweet. The whole experience within Wildwood was so good, and the staff wanted to serve, and they did so well. Thank you.

I attended last night the 7th December as part of a work Christmas meal and found the atmosphere very lovely, the staff all super friendly and helpful and very hard working and the food I had was absolutely beautiful, cooked to perfection and delicious.

Excellent customer service here this weekend. There was a small mistake on one of the meals and the manager remade it and took it off the bill. Small things but that level of customer service was much better than any of the restaurants we have been in locally. Food was very good.
