The Two Brewers
57 Lambourne Rd, ChigwellA great Pub with a fantastic atmosphere for relaxation and together your thoughts?
Staff members very friendly and knowledgeable for each item on the menu (not like some who just know the name of it then have to ask questions to the chef) in terms of ingredients etc.
I will definitely make the effort to come back down here from my area for either a nice romantic meal or to relax and chill with the family.
Confession time:
I had the chocolate and cherry tart with the cherry sorbet and boozy cherries.
As you can see from my picture, I use my finger to clean the plate afterwards. It's so good. I'm going to try and make it at home too and if I fail I'll be back here ?

Topgolf Chigwell
Abridge Road, ChigwellWe enjoy going to Topgolf—it’s a great place to spend time with friends and family.
Upon arrival, you or one representative from your group provides your name and mobile number. You then queue to purchase games and memberships (if desired). Bays are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis on both the ground and upper levels. Wait for the SMS confirming your queue position and assigned bay number. If it’s busy upstairs and downstairs, being 15th in the queue usually means a wait of around 50 minutes, though it can be quicker if bays become available.
Once your bay is assigned, head to the left of reception for the briefing. You’ll receive a card that dispenses baskets and balls. Left-handed players will need to visit reception to collect clubs, as the clubs at each bay are right-handed by default.
For safety, stay behind the red line when you’re not teeing off—especially if children are with you. A few additional pointers:
1. Weekends are usually very busy, and a 15th position in the queue can easily mean an hour’s wait, if not more.
2. On weekdays, it’s often walk-in with immediate bay availability, which is always great.
3. The staff are polite and friendly; however, food orders can take longer during busy periods. We usually order and forget about it until it arrives near the start of the game.
4. There are no premium clubs available—you play with the standard clubs at each bay. Left-handed clubs for juniors and adults are available from reception. Then again, these clubs are designed to give a new golfer maximum opportunity of playing well. Try the “sure thing” club, its not regulation but its great!
5. Be sure to use the ball-dispensing machines starting from the left (machines 1, 2, and 4). The third machine often captures the card and hasn’t been fixed since our last visit.
6. The heating button is on the pillar on the left side of the bay. Turn it on if it’s off—you can shed a layer and enjoy some great shots during winter. It gets cold outside ?
7. If you think you’ll want to play more, buy extra games in advance but don’t dispense the balls. Otherwise, you may have to queue again if it’s busy.
Overall, it’s a fun place to visit, though a bit pricey, and there are no loyalty discounts for regular customers. There are BOGO deals and discounts when buying three games at certain times of the day—check the website for details. There are also Essential Person discounts, and it’s best to remember to bring your Topgolf card with you.
The American Golf sports shop at this location is sadly closing down. It’ll be interesting to see what opens there next.
