We had the short taster menu and every mouthful was a delight along with the wine that was paired with each course. Delicious. We did not stay here but were shown around the rooms, each one is unique. Complete luxury.”

“Such a friendly pub run by friendly people! We were stranded in brightlingsea on a Monday as everywhere was shut and we couldn’t find anywhere for food. The lovely owners invited us in and let us bring food from the chip shop to eat in the pub. They also took care of our dogs and bought over a dog bowl. Very friendly and cheap to buy drinks ! 100% come here for great service and a nice atmosphere - locals are also extremely friendly”
