Not reviewed anything for a while but this location must be highlighted as possibly the grimmest place on the A12 between Chelmsford and Colchester. We didn't even get anything from BK, it was Greggs we went to! Tucked in by the Travel Lodge and petrol station, the car park had pot holes deep enough to swim in. Greggs is to the left, BK to the right and the toilets behind you, though the smell beat the burgers and pasties aroma hands down. Unfortunately had to use the toilet but luckily I had hand gel with me else I would have come out gagging. Greggs staff were thoroughly unimpressed that they had to serve us, wished we had gone into the petrol station instead. Will never go back, no matter how hungry we are.

Same old decent whopper, I had wanted the new Dorito burger but they do t do it, which is unfortunate. Also, the clunky machine is the only way you can order, I needed help and I consider myself reasonably tech savvy. WC’s the usual poor condition for an EG Group service station.

As all the other reviews talk about how filthy this place is I will focus on how RUDE and ignorant the staff are. Cafe was empty apart from a man who ignored my husband but shouted through to the back-OI you've got a customer. After a minute or so the people who'd been chatting out the back came through to the front and proceded to ignore him some more, then he was asked if he was paying cash or card before his order was taken then the woman came into the cafe and started using the touch screen ordering system even though he wanted to pay cash. NEVER MIND-I'll just stay hungry. Is this a franchise? How do they stay in business? I pity the poor souls who have to stay in the Travelodge-good job Uber Eats deliver!

This cafe was unbelievably poor. Very dirty, bins overflowing, used items left on the tables, paper on the floor. The tables were partly wiped using a dirty cloth and no disinfectant spray. The toilets were really disgusting. The sinks were filthy and looked as if they had never been cleaned. I could not get out of there quick enough!

We stopped here on the way to lowestoft for a few nights away. This branch of Burger King offered nothing but slow service (staff seemingly confused by orders), dirty dining area and facilities, and greasey food. Definitely avoid if you want "fast" and quality food.

Grubby services staffed by uninterested youngsters. If you need to go to the loo then you’re probably better off going elsewhere unless you’re desperate or have a strong stomach and can cope with the truly disgustingly filthy toilets. Lukewarm food slapped together and served without a smile. Didn’t eat mine as judging by the state of the loos I wasn’t sure if the kitchen or staff were that clean either.

My least favourite chain but this place produce a really excellent burger. I had a Whopper meal with fries and onion rings. Couldn’t fault it, it was freshly prepared, tasty with fresh lettuce and tomato, all was hot and freshly cooked and the staff were polite.

Filthy. Dirty floor. Rubbish strewn across car park. Tables not wiped down. Empty when we arrived so no excuse for staff not to be on tidy up duty. Avoid unless your are absolutely desperate. A grim experience.

Only had three members of staff on and there were large queues. Admittedly the chips were hot but that was it. The burger was cold and despite asking for items to be removed they were included. The Nuggets tasted like cardboard and the batter was soggy and tasted stale. The dispensable machine, tasted like soda water and nothing else.

We thought we'd give this a try as it's near where we live. We ordered 2 double whopper meals both with cheese, one with no lettuce. 25 minutes later we received extremely salty chips both whoppers had lettuce and neither had the cheese. We took back the burgers which were replaced in a minute but were cold and pretty poorly thrown together. A lady sitting at the next table said that this is usual service and that she always cleans her own table when she visits. A worker then decided that the chairs needed rearranging, but instead of lifting and moving them, it sounded liked she dragged and threw them with gusto. It was so loud we couldn't hear ourselves talking. I can certainly say we will never return.

Just stopped off to pick up a Burger King and was handed a cold burger Queried with a member of staff about the issue Female manager with brown hair stated the burgers had just been made but said she would bring us new ones Come back over and said “ you do know our burgers are served with cold bacon” I explained that I didn’t know this information but cant understand how that would have affected the rest of the burger being cold! Regardless of the policy you should politely advise a customer if they have queried something with their order. I didn’t go into Burger King to spend £20 for a cold burger and to experience rude manners particularly from the manager.
