Pubs • “This is the most wonderful place. The ambience and decor are stunning. The staff are professionals and the food was probably the best I've ever eaten. We had the short taster menu and every mouthful was a delight along with the wine that was paired with each course. Delicious. We did not stay here but were shown around the rooms, each one is unique. Complete luxury.”
Pubs • “Despite living in the village for many decades we had never had lunch in The Railway Tavern. The roast beef was superb and my husband had the meat pie which he thoroughly enjoyed. This was one of the best sunday roasts we have had in a long time, especially the roast potatoes. Portion sizes were very good. We were very well looked after by a lovely young girl Megan who was really friendly and kind. I'm sure we will be back.”

Pubs • “We hired the function room for our engagement party and we had the best time! As there was a lot of us (around 60 guests) they very kindly allowed us to have sole use of the function room (where we played our own music) but also have sole use to one side of the bar which worked amazingly for some of the guests that preferred to have a quieter seat inside near the fire. We also had our own outside area which was also made so much nicer by them having fire pits going for us! All of the staff were so attentive on the lead up to our celebration and on the night, we couldn’t be more grateful to them for helping us have such a special evening! I’m gutted that I didn’t get more photos of the function room as it looked so pretty with all of the fairy lights on, and we were able to decorate it as we wanted! Thank you so much Lisa and the team!”

“Overwhelmed, by how amazing the staff, owners & punters are at this lovely pub.They welcomed my daughter, friends i with open arms. My daughter is 19 & has severe cerebral palsy & loves karaoke. Just so happened to be on the night we chose to go there! They let her sing a few times and the cheer she got afterwards put tease in my eyes & made her feel like a superstar.There was a ramp at the entrance, and they helped us in & out. My daughter was a bit hot so the brought out a fan to keep her cool. Even though it’s not exactly our local we have claimed it to be so. Great people, great vibes, great atmosphere!”
