A strange Xmas menus has arrived. Roast turkey includes roast potatoes York pudding pigs in blankets but no veg unless you pay extra for it.

Quality of the food of the highest standard and the service was on point. Only negatives is the menus is small and it was absolutely freezing with the fire, which made it rather uncomfortable eating - the radiators do not provide that much either.

Great Winter menu, the Beef Cobbler was superb and then go for the cinnamon swirl for dessert, the staff are always friendly especially Julie and Katie (the really nice one, Zoe’s daughter), and Dan runs a good bar. Ed Butcher the chef has come up with a great winter menu, best I’ve had in this very quaint country pub.

Welcoming staff. Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The pub is dog friendly.The food we had tasted great and definitely value for money.Would highly recommend. Maybe it is best to book ahead if going at peak times as I imagine this pub gets very busy, but we went for a late lunch, so there wasn't a problem.Well worth popping in!!

Beautiful lunch in the sun on a Sunday. Roasts looked wonderful and fulfilling, I opted for a different vegetarian option. Service easy going and attentive. Food was delivered swiftly and plates cleared timely.Price was reflective and not excessive.Highly recommend and would visit again, most certainly.

The staff was super friendly and the pub had a cozy atmosphere. I had the fish and chips with peas. It was tasty and the portion was really big. The pudding of the day was delicious. I had the warm sticky toffee pudding with custard… Such a comforting
