What a lovely experience we had here as a family. The food is delicious and a very good price. Service and all staff couldn't do enough for you. Would highly recommend.

Had the most amazing scallops in a wild mushroom sauce as my starter and two beautiful Mediterranean prawns with wilted Pak Choi as my main. It was a Special and it really was special! Thank you The Cricketer’s Arms. Wonderful meal and great ambiance. This really is the country pub you want to visit regularly.

Popped in for lunch after a lovely dog walk on Danbury Common. Received a very warm and friendly welcome. Food & Drink were excellent. Newly refurbed but in keeping with the age of the pub - so great atmosphere. Very dog friendly. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area (or even if you're not !)

Went for a hike on the common and stopped in at this little gem of a pub afterwards for Sunday lunch. There was a nice atmosphere and it was busy. We both had a roast. The food and service were both fantastic and although not the cheapest around, the portions were very generous and I can eat alot! I was so full but couldn't leave any as it was so delicious. This was the first Sunday roast out that we've had for a very long time that was thoroughly enjoyable, every element was perfectly cooked, and pretty damn close to as good as home cooked as you could get.

Lovely local country pub, great stopping place in an evening or whilst walking. Great food served in the summertime.

The Sunday roast was great, we both had roast beef, good Yorkshire pudding and plenty of veg. A good choice of wines ‘by the glass’. The staff were all lovely and friendly. Shame we didn’t have room for pudding!
