Went for a hike on the common and stopped in at this little gem of a pub afterwards for Sunday lunch. There was a nice atmosphere and it was busy. We both had a roast. The food and service were both fantastic and although not the cheapest around, the portions were very generous and I can eat alot! I was so full but couldn't leave any as it was so delicious. The Sunday roast was great, we both had roast beef, good Yorkshire pudding and plenty of veg. A good choice of wines ‘by the glass’. The staff were all lovely and friendly. Shame we didn’t have room for pudding!

This place is great, it's a really lovely country pub. The staff are friendly and helpful, even cooking burgers for our two children when it wasn't on the menu for Sundays. The food really is fantastic, the Sunday roast was amazing. We will definitely be back.
