I love this pub. Started coming here when I moved to Maldon 2 years ago and have made some really good friends. Always a lovely welcome and great atmosphere. Ellie and her staff always go out their way to make time for me. Sarah's pizzas are just amazing. I'm a fussy sod and I can honestly say that they are the best I've ever had. This is a great find, really friendly, some nice beers on tap. They have a large grassed beer garden perfect for the kids to play whilst you enjoy a quiet drink. Definitely worth a visit. The recent addition of the pool table and darts board is good fun.

A large group of us from the running club met here for a drink on a Sunday evening because it was about the only pub in Danbury that was open on a Sunday.We were the only customers in there.Quite a small pub, but very comfortable and reasonable choice of beers. Staff friendly. Plenty of parking.Would go again.Parking: New(ish) carpark. Flat under foot.
