It's soo sad to see a once highly regarded restaurant turn into a dead pan place to visit. The service is appallingly slow, with waiters who had no charisma, conversation or care. We were there for 2 hours waiting for a main dish, all the while takeaway orders were flying out the door. We had to ask twice for a drink and 3 times for the bill and the restaurant was 2/3 empty! Ten years ago I was a regular here and highly rated this place. It had a great reputation in the local area, but since covid it has gone down the pan very rapidly. Used to go about once a month but now maybe twice a year - different waiters every time but same indifferent food and higher prices! And I make better onion bhajis at home rather than the dried offerings at this place.

I've been using the Bombay for a few years now as it's close to where I work. Unfortunately the taste of the food has gone down recently and the last time we had food from there (11/22) it was quite bland and no salt whatsoever. I hope this is only temporary as it used to be fantastic.
