Terrible service, booked a table for 12 two stated that they had a food allergy which could be catered for, at the restaurant the staff member was rude and unhelpful, their menu stated that to let staff know if allergies too. Staff member basically didn’t care and was rude about it too. The two members had to leave and eat elsewhere as a result. Rubbish service, terrible customer interaction and just rubbish all ‘round. I would not use this restaurant or advise others to do so either. Totally misrepresented and probably false advertising. AvoidVegetarian options: There isn’t any! They advertise that they cater for allergies but actually don’t and are rude about it.

The food is always so tasty, massive portions and friendly service. Wouldn't go anywhere else. I've eaten curry all around the world and this is definitely the best :-)

Excellent food, great service. Friendly and always happy to advise on dishes. No other local curry house compares. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Passing through Gt Dunmow 7pm Sunday evening, 3 of us stopped here for a bite to eat. Quiet and comfortable. Only 1 other table occupied. Staff very pleasant. The Royal Biryani was fantastic. Surprised to get a tandoori chicken 1/4 on a side plate with it, and even more surprised to find a whole boiled egg buried in the rice. The Keema Naan bread was also excellent - smelled and tasted delicious.Thankyou.
Disgusted. Booked on Wednesday for Friday for 5 people and when we turned up no table available nor in diary. No apology offered, only “I wasn’t in on Wednesday” Luckly Jalsa Ghar accommodated us. Even when shown evidence of phone call (correct number) practically called us liars

Meeting good friends that we haven’t seen for a while who were staying at stansted to fly home the next day, so met them at Balti Spice for a farewell meal. Restaurant was a bit empty on arrival but didn’t pay too much notice, was quite rushed with our order but again was happy to be there and happily chatting to friends, food came up very quickly and unfortunately I’ve got to say was the terrible I thought it was just me but we all felt the same, didn’t make a fuss had another drink and again was rudely handed the bill which wasn’t requested, staff started putting on there coats to go home this was only 9.45pm so took hint and asked if they could call us a taxi to which they said we don’t have any taxi numbers…..so stood outside and had to wait and arrange taxi else were, not a good experience will never visit again ??

Good but basic restaurant. Not the fastest service Ive ever experienced. Still there might have been issues I was not aware of....

Great menu with great choice of dishes. We ate with friends in December '22 and for a birthday in January '23 and it was great each time. Would totally recommend.
