This is a second visit and I wanted to make sure that a standard could be kept up for several weeks before I posted. Seafood Linguine with selection of ingredients second to none,some unusual including cuttlefish;then clams plus mussels ,shrimps etc.In a magnificent slightly chilli sauce on a bed of lingerie with crumbled green herbs ,I am not a seafood fan but I loved this and it saved a trip to Manningtree (nearest Italian). I was invited to a birthday meal at The Crown Post although I have had several meals there before which I have enjoyed. On this occasion I was impressed. We were greeted by the friendly lady who took a drinks order for us at the bar. My friend ordered a vodka lemonade and lime, however she explained that they had run out of lime cordial. I’m on slimming world. The chef came upstairs to see me and made sure I had a slimming world friendly meal, new pots, veg, beef, n separate gravy. The meal was lovely, beef was amazing, veg was soft. Could not fault the meal! Compliments to the chef and the team for helping, will be returning. Xx
