Visited here for lunch on way back from Braintree..wanted something different from 'touristy' Finchingfield. Very very glad we chose ' The Thatchers'. lovely old building full of charm, very accomodating and helpful staff and fantastic food. We live 50 miles from the pub but we'd happily drive that for lunch or dinner here again. Won't be long before we visit here again.
Our second visit and the food and service were just as good as last time. The last time was for my mums birthday and this time it was for my sister’s. The menu is varied and all dishes were well presented. This is a lovely quintessential English pub in a nice village, that I recommend you visit. Thank you

Just come back from a really good lunch at The Thatchers. Food was excellent and service was friendly, the fire was on creating a lovely atmosphere for a winter’s Friday lunch. We’ll be back!
