Acorn Village, Clacton Rd, ManningtreeWow, what a fabulous little place. The whole team were polite, friendly and helpful and the excellent variety of hot food and delicious cakes were cooked and presented impeccably. Clean and well kept seating surrounded by lovely gardens. We felt so welcome and relaxed, thoroughly recommend.

Heidi (The Station Wagon)
High St, Mistley, ManningtreeHeidi is a vintage/classic Citroën H-class van with servery conversion panelwork. I love these old Citroën commercials, they're as functionality styled as is possible & although not exactly beautiful are nonetheless somehow 'cute'! Whenever I walk past Heidi outside Mistley Railway Station I always think of Peter Sellers in the role of Inspector Clouseau, as it was in the Pink Panther films I first saw these vans. If only all vehicles were still built & looked like Heidi...

The Bull
The St, Brantham, ManningtreeUsed the quiet room for my boyfriend’s 25th birthday party recently and everything was perfect. We were able to decorate the room, the food kept everyone very happy, it was fresh and delicious ! The atmosphere was perfect and the pool table and dart board was great for some extra entertainment. Me and my partner have been eating here over the years and have never had a bad experience. Constantly delicious food, consistent amazing service always a warm welcome and feeling well looked after every time !

The Anchor Inn
Harwich Rd, Mistley, ManningtreeCalled in at 12noon on the way past, lovely pictures of boats on the walls, got chatting to the landlady and the locals, very friendly and welcoming, nice people, old traditional pub with a nice pint. Looking forward to going back, recommend it. Proper pub!

Gardeners Arms Stutton
Manningtree Rd, Stutton, IpswichA rare surviving owner-managed pub. This means the service is not over the top, but efficient and the food was tasty - and freshly prepared juding by both the taste and time it took. We particuarly loved the garden, there is someone clearly fond of plans looking after it. Home made cranberry jelly on the pub counter supported that. We sat under plum and apple trees at the back and enjoyed the flowers on the borders.

The Waterfront Cafe
WATERFRONT CAFE, Mistley, ManningtreeExcellent, quirky cafe with a great food! Food and service were both excellent, despite being full are orders were taken straight away and the food arrived quickly and was very well prepared and tasty. We will definitely visit again.
