Fountain House Tea Room
The St, East Bergholt, ColchesterAbsolutely delicious lunch. marvellous margaritas and tasty coffee. I'd never been before and it was a really nice surprise. Friendly with good service. I would recommend this independent business. we sat in the garden and soaked up the rays.

Oranges & Lemons
The Oranges and Lemons, Rectory Hill, East Bergholt, ColchesterWent for a brunch, and their website states that pre booking isn't a necessity but it's advised, I'm glad I booked. It got busy.
Food was nice and the staff was friendly.
We got there for opening and the heating hasn't been on long so it was colder that we would have liked, but not cold enough to ruin our experience.
There is parking on site with bays marked out.
The cakes we treated ourselves to for when we got home looked nicer than they were. But from what other reviews have started I think we just made the wrong choice on cakes.

Royal Oak
East End, East Bergholt, ColchesterA proper country pub, with a fantastic landlord who always makes you feel extremely welcome. Excellent and well conditioned beer selection. Cosy in the winter by the fire, lovely in the garden in the summer. Lots of seasonal events which have a real sense of community. A true gem!
