“My wife ordered a bottle of wine and asked for an ice bucket. It didn’t arrive, so no big deal. Asked passing waitress who was wearing a sash for an ice bucket. This was received with a deep sigh, a tired look and the comment that they had run out. She strode off before I could point out that the pub was nearly empty. Was that too much trouble. My wife obtained an ice bucket seconds later from another member of staff who was clearly more helpful. Strange attitude, but I must say that the food was really good, so was the wine. In the end really enjoyed the evening. Ordered Katsu Banquet, delicious.”
