Went with family to this pub for Sunday lunch. Whilst my game ragú was quite nice albeit not very substantial considering it was £18. The Sunday beef roasts wEre very poor. The roast potatoes were too hard, look as if they were cooked some time ago. They were awful. The gravy was very watery and bland. The beef was too fatty and undercooked. Whilst some people would like it raw we should be given the choice. Very disappointing overall.

Had a family meal here and everything was wonderful. The Landlord is very attentive and helpful. The food was better than many restaurants we have been to. All set in a lovely village, with well kept beer and pretty garden. Treat yourself and give this pub a visit

Exceptional Sunday roast! Roast pork and beef are the best around. Plus, the Cauliflower Cheese is delicious. Prices were good, and the service and friendliness were spectacular. Highly recommend!!!

Lovely village pub with garden about 20 min drive from Stansted airport by car. The Landlord came out to meet us personally and all the service staff were very nice.

Our first time here. What a delightful pub in a beautiful setting. Garden is very pretty and plenty of parking. We had an excellent meal, roast was good and the beef very good. The burrata was so good and the homemade desserts great. Staff were attentive and on the ball. Service was very very good. We will definitely return.
