I went shopping there with my Daughter and that was fine and we do every week. Until my Daughter aged 36yrs old wanted to buy lottery in there and got served by an little slow old lady called Barbie I believe, waited 15mins in the queue and when she got served, then got told couldn't buy lottery cos you got to be over 25yrs old as it's a new challenge 25 policy which is stupid as lottery you only have to be over 18yrs. She didn't have ID on her this time either. Well I won't be shopping in your store ever again!!!!

Stock is hit and miss, no acutal tills open and female staff at self checkout are always just standing around chatting

One check out open on a Friday at 6pm. Poor stock levels. Had to use self service with a very full trolley. More staff in this area having to constantly correct till errors. Not enough room on the bagging area for the full trolley contents. Absolute chaos. Why don't the staff in the self service area get allocated a normal till to speed up customer service. After more than 40 years of shopping here I have finally had enough. I will not be returning.

I purchased a Asdas own make 3l deep fat fryer from the Shoeburyness store about a month ago. Whilst using this appliance boiling hot fat just started to leak from the bottom all over my kitchen unit, worktop and a pool formed on my floor. I am grateful that nobody got hurt or a fire didn't break out. I spoke to the manager who was rude, to be honest sounded quite bored...never once apologized for my experience or asked if anyone was hurt. Very disappointed with the managers attitude, I'm shocked that he holds this position. I now know that if I have an issue the last person I will be contacting is this poor excuse of a manager. What a waste of my time, and can now see why the Shoeburyness store is lacking in so many areas with this type of person in charge.

Just been in shopping got cat treats marked 3 for £3 . Didn't come off four assistants standing talking. Asked 1st her reply I haven't started work asked could you get another? 2nd shrugged her shoulders finally supervisor came made me feel like a criminal went and reduced them to correct price walked away no apology. Terrible customer service main reason why I avoid this place. I work for Tesco and I sincerely hope we don't treat customers in this manner.

11am I tried to order some Pizzas. The lady serving me was nice and friendly and could not apologise enough for the fact there was no onions, no mushrooms, no peppers and the sweetcorn was running out. I offered to get some supplies from the store but that wasn't allowed. I have no problem with lady serving me but how can you have no supplies that early in the morning.

Use to be a good store but over the years empty shelves, no open check outs and generally poor quality produce has put me off. Seems to coincide with those petrol morons buying them.The staff are always really good just a shame about the rest!!Won’t be doing my main shop here anymore!

Lovely shopfloor staff who spent ages trying help me find a product, unfortunately the brain dead managers Chris and Emily have an obsession with changing everything around at night, the staff simply have no clue where alot of things are, their words not mine.So a shout out to Chris and Emily for the DUNCE of the year award 2023.
