“Great pub on the edge of the forest. We parked in their car park, went on a 4 hour hike, then returned for dinner. There was so much choice and all our meals were massive. The staff were warm and friendly too. Will definitely again.”

“We shared the Cote de Boeuf, having it with the red wine sauce, blue cheese dressing, and sauteed greens. The meet is said to be served medium, but nearly half was more medium raw than medium. They do have an option to carve the meet for you, which we asked for, and that worked well. The food was tasty in general. They do use a bit too much oil on their greens for my taste, though, and their steak knives are not sharp on the tip side, but the back part nearer to the handle works fine.
They have friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. There is plenty of parking as well.”

“Held a fabulous 90th birthday party at the Queens Head for 50 family members and friends. From the moment of enquiry right through to the end, Ellie was super helpful and keen to accommodate all our wishes to make the party a great success. Buffet was excellent quality and exactly what we wanted. Had family photos showing on the tv and perfect background music playing. The birthday boy had a great time. Can’t wait for the next occasion to party at the Queens Head!”
