Recently moved to the area and someone told me i just had to try Oldhams. Food is fresh, delicious and staff are very welcoming and friendly. Everytime someone visits me, i treat them to Cod, chips and a sausage in batter and they’re always impressed. Large cod, large chips and 2 sausages in batter is enough to feed 2 adults so is also good value for money!

Upstairs not available on this visit, used the ground floor which was well catered for plus excellent service.

Very pleasant, 'old school' fish and chip shop with small restaurant at back. Food was freshly cooked, good quality battered sausages rather than the usual cheap and nasty ones. Good service, fair prices. Would

Good value. Don't go on Matinee day at the theatre opposite.

We hadn't booked and the restaurant was busy but we managed to get a table. We ordered plaice and chips as well as a roll and butter. The food was served pipping hot, however, the only problem was the fish batter was extremely oily

Lovely service, the lady (browny blonde hair) who served us was very smiley and was very helpful. The only small problem is that there isn’t gluten free options!

Delicious Meal especially when we timed it right for the Meal bargain before 5pm.

Asked for large chips, got a small portion, definitely not worth what I paid, sausage in batter was weird, was left hungry, and had to order 2nd takeaway. If you want fish and chips, go to the fish House on East Street, 100 x better.
