We stayed for one night and loved it.We arrived before check in to get a car parking space in the hotels car park because the spaces were limited. We had a lovely welcome from who i think was the owner, she was very friendly. Our room was small buy we didn't mind that as we are small people and love the cosyness it gave. The breakfast was again very good. All the staff were friendly and polite.I definitely recommend this hotel.

My partner and I stumbled on this pub while on a weekend break in the Cotswolds. We both got roasts, pork and beef, and shared the banana toffee pudding. The food was absolutely delicious, great portion sizes and well-presented. The staff were warm, friendly and bubbly...exactly what you need from a countryside pub!! The pub itself is quaint and cosy. Full stars all round!

Booked twin beds, got 2 singles pushed together, room not big enough to separate them. Kitchen undergoing renovations so portable kitchen set up outside room. It's an obstacle course to access room over pipes and construction works. Room was not really clean. Carpet very dirty and stained, bathroom had water stains on floor, half a toilet roll with no replacement. No natural light as curtain had to be pulled for privacy. Curtain dusty and hanging off rail.Food was OK but way overpriced. Breakfast was great, young ladies serving very friendly. All in all very disappointing.

Amazing choice for a Sunday roast! I got the beetroot and butternut wellington which our server said was having it's first day on the menu. Very lucky I came in time to have it as it was the best I've had across several veggie roasts - tried the beef and pork too from other plates which were similarly excellent

I had a delicious pork roast with huge Yorkshire puddings and tasty roast potatoes. Extra gravy was also provided.

Had the mussels with chips for lunch, a bit pricey, delicious and attentive service. The Hawkstone Wonka is a great pint.

Very busy. Good atmosphere, service, and food. Wise to book in advance for a table.

We popped in around Midday on a Sunday on the off chance there was a table free and were very glad there was.The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We sat down in the traditional yet smart pub area that had a contemporary feel. It seemed pretty quiet, but the bustling of the staff showed they were preparing diligently. Just as well as it soon filled up with excited families. We ordered the Wasabi Crab and Langoustines for starters. Prepared and cooked perfectly. I had no problem destroying the Langoustines and soaking the tails in garlic butter. The crab was equally good and subtle on the Wasabi. For main my wife went for the Stuffed Quail Wrapped in Bacon with Sausage & Medjool Date Stuffing which looked exactly as it sounded, but even tastier. I had the Cote De Beouf and due to a bit of confusion on the menu realised I had ordered something I was not going to finish there and then. No problem though, they were very happy to provide a doggy bag for the remaining tender hunks of well seasoned beef and amazing roast potatoes, the vegetables didn't make it as they were so nice not much was left. All in all we were stuffed and glad we stumbled across the Mousetrap Inn. Will definitely visit again when next in the area, but might just have to make a special trip!

The staff really make this place, sat at the bar one afternoon after a long walk for a few drinks and the staff were effortlessly hospitable in a gorgeous setting with the fire roaring on a cold winters dayFood & drinks: Drinks great, lovely local beers and cocktails made to order. Food was also very good when we returned for dinner the following evening. Highly recommend
