Chose the Rose Tree as a convenient meeting point (about an hour’s journey for each of us) to see long-standing friends, and we all agreed it was SUCH a good choice! Delicious food, beautifully presented, with a quick, excellent and friendly service. Really faultless! Highlights were the melt-in-your-mouth lamb shanks, and the sticky toffee pudding … available as a GF version, which made my GF wife VERY happy!
I came here in 2019 and the experience was something I just had to do again. So I came back in 2023. I got the ploughmans with ham and cheese, cranberry juice and a side of colossal onion rings. The food is so fresh and such a lovely plate of bites with cheeses, salad, chutney, pork pie and other goodies. The fresh bread and butter topped the meal. The service was impeccable both times. Went here with my family on Sunday and we got seated upstairs . We got served all three courses by a young waitress . She was really friendly and answered all the questions for us that we had . All staff were friendly and quick. Meal was very lovely especially the soup ! Beautiful location . Thank you to the staff who made it even better ! Would recommend.
