Unfortunately, this was by far the wordt experience I have ever had in a restaurant. So much so, the manager agreed to discount our total bill by about 90%. Yes, it was good to pay a small portion for what we ordered, however, the preference would have been to have a good birthday for my 4 year old niece. Staff were not attentive and when a first complaint was made to the manager where we explained our initial concerns (delays, inconsistencies in delivery of food, lack of attention, warm food delivered rather than hot, smaller portions than what had been paid for and no refills unless requested) we thought things would change, they didn't. Still, no refills, 4 children desserts and one arrived 20 minutes after being ordered. The other three arrived another 10 minutes after that! A couple of times we had to ask TGI staff to sing happy birthday to my niece. Still, nothing happened and we had to take it upon ourselves to sing to her. At 4, she still will grow up thinking she gets a happy birthday song at a restaurant if you go to TGI, but not one member of staff (nor the manager who was in the vicinity at the time) joined in. A truly underwhelming experience and the only unfortunate thing about this review is that I can't give zero stars!

What the hell has happened! Been coming here for years (since 1995) and its always been our favourite family restaurant.The staff as always are brilliant but my god the prices have rocketed, £185 for a meal for 3 adults and 2 teenagers (main each, puddings and diet cokes) I would understand if we had tons off food and loads of cocktails!The portion size is absolutely ridiculous, an adult size would only be enough to feed a child.Sort it out TGIs

Terrible. I knew it had gone down hill but kids choose to go there. Never again. No one came over for 30 mins on arrival. People who arrived after us got their food before we even ordered. Food looked like it had been warmed up in the microwave. And the portion sizes were ridiculously small. Don’t get ripped off by these stay away.

OK food but hugely expensive. £6-50 for 12 sweet potato chips. £165 incl service 2 adults 2 kids, shared starters etc. Not surprised place was empty. At these prices I give it 6 months. Sorry, I used to love this place.
Very overpriced considering the portions were quite small and the food was bland. The macaroni cheese in particular was unsatisfactory, it had an odd flavour… I wouldn’t recommend it.

Honestly can’t be any more annoyed with this place if I tried. We arrived on Thursday around 6pm and waited for over 5mins to get someone’s attention to seat us, we sat down and the waitress disappeared waiting 20mins I had to serve myself and go to the bar to order drinks for my table. We then waited more time to get the waitresses attention to order, oh my word the food ? was disgusting to say the least! Burned and clearly rushed, mixed grill was beyond belief pretty much charcoal on a plate with no chips as they “forgot”I had a vegan burger dripping with fat or water chips were cold, and my teenage children’s steaks were not cooked as requested they were over cooked also.We payed £120 for what we had and I wish I’d not have paid a penny if I’m honest. I did let the girl Know who took our money that I wasn’t happy and she just looked worried and went on to tell me she was the only waitress on…I wouldn’t recommend this place I just wish I took photos of the food even for a laugh if nothing else!!!!

Unbelievable service. Very slow. Waited 10 mins before being shown to our table. Large group of us 12 starters took ages they were ok. Waited ages for main course. Sent mine back because chips and burger cold and burger bun very dry a burger was returned with Luke warm chips. I gave up My granddaughters steak was tuff and hardly warm and her chips were cold. She didn’t eat them. Plates were not warmed and this didn’t help to keep the food warm specially when the restaurant was chilly.We were sat by the large window and the radiator was cold.We’ve been a few times over the years and this is definitely the last time. Shame concept is good but if management keep letting this happen then it’ll close down.Used the toilet and this was a mess.The floor was dirty and needs a deep clean specially in the entrance it was grimy.Toilet paper was on the floor , I know this is the fault of a customer messing about but they need inspecting regularly.The only decent thing was the cheesecake.Parking: Good parking.

This place was unbelievable, had to complain about waiting for our ordervto arrive.Went in person to book table for 7pm, we arrived at 6.55pm only to be told that our table wasn't ready could we go to the bar & wait ( that was a further 20mins !), got to our table at 7.20pm order taken at 7.25pm at 8.10 pm meal still hadn't arrived, I then asked to see the manager ( who didn't have the decency to come out and see us. At 8.20pm our meal finally arrived and was told thay we would be compensated for our unbelievable amount of time waiting we felt sorry for thee waiting stall as they were short numbered. When we asked for the bill it was waved, we didn't do it for that reason ? if we were told at the beginning of the evening there would have been a bit of a wait we could have gone elsewhere. We were also told that there were other people complaining , manager still didn't come out and face the music. Will not be returning!
