We recently booked the function room for a Family party that was fantastic, very accommodating, great food and value, would definitely recommend.”

“Was told about this pub by a friend. I have lived locally for over 25 years and never been. The pub is under new management so I decided to try it.
On the first night which was a Friday it was busy and buzzing which was a nice vibe. I sat on a comfortable sofa with my eldest son and we enjoyed a couple of pints. The next day I heard they had live music and I also thought I would try their burger and fries which I saw others eating the night before.
The music was an acoustic duo who were very accomplished. They played well know covers and we're very good and easy to listen to.
I ordered the burger which was reasonably priced and delicious. I will definitely be coming back to this pub in the future.”

“The fillet steak was on offer this evening so couldn’t resist it.. i would happily pay full price as it was the best steak ive ever eaten! You didnt need a steak knife it melted in my mouth. Everthing was cooked to perfection,”

“I took a group of 22 hungry Italian hikers to the Golden Cross last night and wanted to say how lovely the whole experience was. We had their function room, which immediately received ‘wows’ and the service from start to finish was flawless. The new owners were friendly, professional and the food was fresh and delicious.
