We were welcomed by a friendly staff and roaring open fire. We ordered the ‘special’ Wednesday to Friday’ menu and for £20 had an excellent 3 course meal. All the portions were generous and the food warm and delicious. I started with salt and pepper squid ( probably the best I’ve tasted in the U.K.).Then I had a large portion of fish and chips. Great location. Good menu choices, if slightly pricey. TV showing sports. Range of seating available. Good selection of drinks. No need to book in advance. Nice outdoor area for smoking and dining in the summer. Food wise, the ribs are excellent, the burger was terrible. Very impressed with the young staff running the pub at the weekend. Really polite friendly and attentive.

Fantastic food. Nice staff. We ate in the bar area and prefer it. The noise levels can be a bit much in the restaurant area. Good portions, fabulous Sunday roast too, ideal if your hungry. Might seem pricey but you bet what you pay for!
