Had a lovely meal here on Wednesday 20th March. The restaurant is very pleasant with a very intimate feel to it. No big open spaces so it was nice and quiet.I had the soft polenta with salsify and a wild mushroom fricassee and it was the best thing I have tasted for a long time.I couldn't decide what to have for desert so our waiter suggested he surprise me. I was given the treacle tart which was just like the ones my Mum used to make when I was a child, delicious.

Best place to park is in sheep street as it is only a short walk to the restaurant.Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegetarian (and pescatarian) options as well as catering for vegan.Parking: The parking on sheep street is free after 6pm so great if you are going out for dinner. During the day there would be a charge.

8 members including myself from Wellingborough golf club played today as part of the 1893 club . The young pro was very helpful and welcoming on our arrival. Breakfast was great , Emma and Emily I think we’re the ladies names were both excellent hosts. Great busy little cafe with tasty cakes and hot coffee. It’s a great stop for a drink, and there are lots of tables, but it’s often very busy so getting a table is hit or miss. The cafe also stocks hundreds of gift ideas, almost too much stock for the shop and can be a bit overwhelming given the sheer number of biscuits, chocolates and gists on sale. But it’s a well run cafe and worth a visit.

We stayed here for two nights in what a wonderful hotel. The staff are so helpful, warm, and friendly. The food is amazing, especially the triple-cooked chips. Clean, tidy, and a great location as only 2 min walk to the main shops. Just fantastic. Don't always get a parking spot as it’s a small car park, but there is a large car park very close by and safe. I would highly recommend a stay here. Special thanks to the Aussie Receptionist she was just so very helpful and lovely!! We will 100% go back. Wonderful thank you to all the staff!!

Had a lovely time at the old George last night. Was a lovely atmosphere in the pub with an open fire. Really dog friendly even with our rescue who is normally fine but took a disliking to the waiter (apologies) but he dealt with it in a very professional manner and put us back at ease. The food was great my steak was cooked spot on and enough vegetarian options to keep the wife happy. some great local beers on tap that went down a treat! Only a 15 minute walk from the hoburne holiday park so a great place to walk to with the dog and a have a few drinks and a bite to eat!

We visited Knead in Cirencester close to the end of the day, and the manager was so friendly, helpful, and kind. The pastries were absolutely delicious, and we enjoyed their hot cross buns at home over the next two days; they didn’t last long! We are only here for a short time when we visit our son and his family, but going to visit Knead every time we come!
