Hidden away down a side alley as so many of Italy's best secrets are, this traditional Italian restaurant is family owned and the house is run by a classic Italian Nonna, with a lifetime of knowledge about the food and wine of the country. The service was second to none, and the pasta - Oh the pasta was to die for! Tha canneloni, the seafood spaghetti, the spinaci. Do yourselves a favour and go there!!

My mum ordered prawn risotto and I ordered the lasagna and both were delicious. Lasagna was the best I've ever ordered. Flavours were complex yet comforting. Also ordered the tiramisu and the pistachio cake and we were both delighted with these desserts as well. Excellent, attentive service. Definitely need to book as it got fully booked even on a Saturday lunchtime.

From the moment everything arrived, it felt thoughtful, calm and beautifully considered. Every dish was elegant without being showy, deeply comforting yet refined. The flavours were confident, seasonal and generous, and the execution flawless from start to finish.
What truly sets Polly apart is the way the food brings people together. Our entire family was utterly captivated. Plates were cleared, conversations paused, and there was that rare, collective moment of appreciation you can’t manufacture.
This is food made with instinct, experience and real heart. The kind you’d happily serve to the most discerning guests, yet still feels warm and personal. Cirencester is very lucky to have her. We will be talking about this meal for a long time and counting down to the next.

Called in at Eastern Spice they wrapped the food extra to keep warm. At home still warm and very tasty with proper big chunks of chicken in the balti. Food was brilliant. First time there but definitely not the last. Well done keep up the good work.

Interactive dart board kept us amused for ages and our little dog was offered biscuits and water for free. Bullseye!

27 Castle St, CirencesterMy family and I were on our last night in the Cotswolds and hadn't really planned ahead so just walked around Cirencester hoping to find some restaurants open on a Sunday evening which served freshly prepared food. We chose La Passione and had an absolutely wonderful time. The staff were so accommodating and friendly to our three children. My wife and I had three excellent courses and the team made child-friendly versions of Italian favourites. It was absolutely outstanding, would recommend in a heartbeat.

It was good but not outstanding. To be fare it was all ok, it all seemed fresh but not a lot of taste. The batter was a bit thick for our liking. \n\nThe chips and mushy peas were good.\n\nI like the spicy curry sauce especially and it was a generous portion.\n\nLike all restaurants the food quality can vary and based on this experience we would go back again. However If I was after a takeaway Watermoor CS is a lot cheaper and based on this first visit and our recent Watermoor CS experiences the batter was better, chips nicer and fish tastier and my pocket heavier as I left.\n\nIf we wanted a sit down Fish and Chips when we are in town we will give it another go.\n\nStar wise I would give it 3.5 based on the price if I could and the awkwardness with the other customer. 3 does not seem fair so it’s a 4.\n\nOn the plus side it is definitely better than the Friar Tuck.\n\nBased on this experience pole position goes to Watermoor CS for Fish and Chips takeaway in this locality.

Despite a very large party upstairs we were served promptly, and the staff were extremely kind, professional and efficient. They catered to my sons’ rather specific pizza requests without any issue at all despite a very busy kitchen. Wonderful - we will be back!

The food was delicious and came out surprisingly quickly. Every dish was full of flavour, the portions were generous, and the value for money was excellent. I honestly couldn’t fault a single thing about the restaurant.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal and exceptional service. The experience was far better than any other restaurant we’ve visited recently. We’ll definitely be back!

It's the 3rd such a large order I placed with them. Navneet and his team are brilliant, very organised and very helpful. We occasionally drop by the drive-through here either to or from London and have never not been happy with our food. What's pushed me to leave a review today was the fact that there was a recent mishap with our order and it was too late to turn around once we realised. The staff were amazingly understanding, took my name, then smoothly and seamlessly sorted everything out the next time we were able to come by. Everything was hot and cooked properly to how I would cook it myself, I will definitely be returning for another meal! I’m very surprised to see so many negative views and I really question the authenticity of these reviews maybe it could be other cafes trying to destroy their reputation as there are others in the area which is sad, you shouldn’t slander other cafes to try and persuade their customers to come to you, your food and service should make customers want to come to you and if they aren’t that’s a problem you need to fix and you certainly don’t try to pull others down to make you look better because the Service and food quality of the Old Cafe speaks for itself!

Cotswold Airport, CirencesterI visited Av8 cafe at Kemble Airport today. I had the pumpkin & spinach burger, cuppa tea with oat milk, and a chocolate and banana cake. Highly recommend, and the burger is one of the best I’ve had in a long time! Bonus get to see cool planes whilst eating food! If your in the area, I’d highly recommend checking it out:)

We sat by the window on the high stools facing out (other seating is available), I had some sort of byriani rice dish with lightly curried crab, and a glass of wine (£15 all in, it was the dish of the day).
It was amazing, such a tasty, fresh light dish with fresh coriander, slightly crunchy onions, thinly sliced chillis throughout. (But it was not too spicy at all).

The fish and chips were equally good, with soft skinless haddock in a super crispy batter. We shared a sticky toffee pudding which was indulgently delicious. To top it all, the service was superb, and we rolled away very happy indeed. The Sunday lunches are excellent too. Make the most of this local gem.

Drillmans Arms, 34 Gloucester Rd, Stratton, CirencesterStopped in here as we were staying at an Airbnb nearby. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming to us as non-locals, very authentic local pub. Pints were very affordable, less that £5 a pint.
Also very decent Guinness ? We intended to stop in for one drink but ended up staying until closing because of the laid back atmosphere and nice staff.

64 Dyer St, CirencesterFriar Tuck's Fish and Chip shop is brilliant! We needed to feed 27 children and 6 adults on our way to a residential trip. Emma, Jo and the whole team could not be more helpful. They were great when I first contacted them. They were willing to open early to feed the children, so that we could get to our destination. They kept in touch on the day and were all sorted, ready with the food when we arrived. The staff and children were so impressed with the quality of the food and it was piping hot. They were also really helpful afterwards when I needed a copy of the receipt. Nothing was too much trouble and we were so pleased with the service. Brilliant! We will definitely be using them again.

I’m very surprised to see so many negative views and I really question the authenticity of these reviews maybe it could be other cafes trying to destroy their reputation as there are others in the area which is sad, you shouldn’t slander other cafes to try and persuade their customers to come to you, your food and service should make customers want to come to you and if they aren’t that’s a problem you need to fix and you certainly don’t try to pull others down to make you look better because the Service and food quality of the Old Cafe speaks for itself!
