Filthy. Lots of staff but still a long queue? Five tables needed clearing and cleaning when I sat down on one of them. Eventually after chit chatting a member of staff cleared the table shut not one of them wiped down or given any attention other than that. Appalling! Floor needed a good sweep too but you could forgive that if it was heaving with customers and later in the day but it was warm and sunny and a lot of customers were sat outside. Much better use of time is needed by all who work there! I visited on Sat 7th October mid morning.

We stopped for a quiet coffee at lunchtime on Thursday, and after sitting down at a dirty table the staff started acting like school kids laughing and shouting loudly behind the counter.No one minds a bit of banter but this went on for 10 minutes until I complained to them all regarding their noise and was met by a sacastic remark.'Have a nice day'.. thats so funny.

Agonisingly slow on a Sunday morning before the next door Tesco Extra store had opened. It must have taken over 15 minutes for the two staff to produce an Americano coffee, with the surprisingly-patient queue extending out the door and moving forward at glacial speed. Don't expect to find most of the range of sandwiches and sweet treats which are listed on the Costa website - they don't sell them. In retrospect, I should have waited until 10:00 and gone to the Tesco café and sandwich sales area!

Absolutely appalling. Have visited several times and cannot find a table not piled up with rubbish. Unbelievably filthy and full of used crockery.

I often call in here and the staff always make my coffee just how I like it. All the staff are friendly and very efficient. I called in this evening as they were getting ready to close but they were still happy to serve me and my two grandchildren, and we enjoyed our drinks and felt no pressure to leave, in fact quite the opposite! The staff engaged in conversation with the kids and they both even got both a marshmallow and a flake with their baby chinos, Best Costa in Gloucester!!

I had been going there for months until recently. I noticed a new girl working there big loud girl, bossy in nature. I asked her for full fat milk as that is how I prefer my coffee. She gave me my coffee with semi skimmed. I seen her do it and the coffee obviously had semi skimmed. I took it back and asked for some full fat to top it up with, she tried to start an argument about it trying to patronise me. I said if not I would like a refund.. The other lad working there suggested I had some cream. I said yes that's fine and went and sat outside. Next minute the same girl came out and put my refund on the table and went back in. I took the money back in and said it was cerected, no need for a refund. I noticed her crying trying to cause a scene, attracting some sympathy from customers and staff and demonising me in the process. Since then I have returned once or twice as it's local and now possible for me to sit inside. Been there twice since and on both occasions the staff are rude barely speaking to me an even after again specifically asking for full fat milk I am given semi skimmed and have to go back for cream to even it out. Disgusting way to treat another human being, they don't know me, or what I have gone through. I'm essentially paying there wages. Customer Services quality is non-existent and I will avoid the place like the plague from now on.

Had to wait ages to be served as staff too busy chatting out the back although they could see I was waiting. Sat outside as it was too hot inside but staff started packing away the outside tables and chairs even though they were open for another hour. Seems you have to be a local to get any decent service. Felt more like a social club for the convenience of staff and their mates than a place of business.
