After coming here, we would never go anywhere else for an Indian, the food is just amazing and the staff are wonderful. On all occasions we have eaten here the land lady is very friendly and offered us a blanket when choosing to eat outside. And Andy the landlord is a great guy! A great pub brewed pint whilst waiting for an Indian takeaway. Locals all very friendly & food was fabulous. If you're looking for a gastro pub this is isn't it but if you're after a decent drink in a characterful pub then this is it.

left canoes at the river and walked up in torrential 2023 summer rain. The pub was a great stop and the onside brewed beer was great. Really liked the outdoor sheltered tables so we could stay in our wet gear and get out of the rain whilst enjoying the beer.. Great place hope it continues so I can visit again on a better day
