The Daily Grind offers everything you could want in a local coffee shop. A great selection of bespoke food & beverages, beautiful decor, welcoming ambience & clearly a very passionate & friendly owner who made me feel at ease during my recent visit. Would highly recommend & look forward to returning to try some yummy autumnal waffles!

Not as good as any of the other coffee shops in Lydney. No atmosphere at all in there,no gluten free options available which in this day and age is not acceptable, only veggie options are scrambled egg or a plain cheese toastie, staff have got no clue constantly delivering things to the wrong tables,Cakes do not look or taste homemade,Coffee was okay but would not bother going in again.

there were no sausages or hash browns even though we were the first customers of the day. Food was cold

We went there to meet some elderly relatives that were visiting the Forest of Dean. Firstly may I say how helpful they were, given that we had two 90 year olds, the lady serving couldn’t have been more helpful, saving a table for five in the window, and when we ordered, she was so polite and helpful. The coffee was excellent much better than we expected, and the paninis and toasted sandwiches were excellent, all served with a smile, and whilst we were sat there chatting for a couple of hours, she even came round and gave us a chocolate. It’s a hidden gem in Lydney, much better than we expected, would certainly recommend dropping in.

Breakfast just under £10. Nice but not worth £10 compared to other breakfasts around.Chocolate waffle lovely, plenty of it too!
