“Popped in on Friday night for the first time since moving to Newent at the end of November 23. We were made to feel very welcome not just by the bar team but also the customers sitting around us. Great atmosphere, good range of drinks at sensible prices. What’s not to like? Brucie bonus, they’re dog friendly and our little Libby loved it.”

“We stopped here on our way to our destination and by chance it was a nice place for food. The pub itself felt a little weird, you'd have to see it to understand and I'm not saying it in a bad way, just a weird layout for a pub. But, the lady behind the bar was very friendly. She recommended The Argos? I think it was called for lunch and it was delicious, I finished every bite but couldn't move after! No regrets. There's a massive beer garden and a car park right outside. TV, pool table, kid-friendly. Would happily stop here again if we're ever passing by.Parking: Plenty of it. Easy to find.Kid-friendliness: There was a kid in the bar, so I assume they're allowed in.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp outside, step-free.”

“We stayed overnight here as we had to attend a funeral in Cinderford. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and we chose from their Indian food range. Although I did not eat much of it, it was not because of the quality of the food, it was due to the sad circumstance of my Auntie's passing away. Shared a bottle of wine with my hubby (on top of what we had at the wake, lol) which took off the edge. Our room was clean and comfortable and had a good nights sleep. Had a nice unhurried breakfast before our long journey back to Plymouth.”
