Visited Tuesday last week and pub was full of very friendly people and this was early evening just after opening. Three real ales on and all served direct from the barrel on the bar. All in excellent condition and all different flavours. I had to have all three. Apparently regular turnover of unusual beers and these were three I had never had before. A really welcoming pub. Great selection of spirits and the ales were in superb condition. Being a Sunday there were bowls of roast potatoes on the bar for us to enjoy. Definitely will return.

Great friendly pub, with top beers always available, and a warm welcome. Definitely worth a visit if you live in or visit Newent and are in the market for good beer, a great choice of gin, and a friendly staff and clientele.
