We only had dinner but the food was good although the service was slow as it was extremely busy and the staff were doing their best. A very popular place and I will definitely be back.

Stopped for a pint at lunchtime. Really busy but served quite quickly. Nicely decorated and had a good atmosphere. The food being served looked really good.

Brilliant atmospheric pub arguably oldest in England. Excellent beer. Food is 'upmarket pub food'. Superb (except the fish and chips) and great value. Wine list also good. All round good night. Roger

We stopped for a drink here with our 11 week old baby.Ideal location, baby changing was fine but ambient lighting and separate sink area a bit tricky with a little one.Lots of seating, very rustic and character full pub. Great atmosphere.

Having heard and read so much about this place,it seemed to have a lot to live up to.. It did not disappoint. The service, the food, the drink and the cotswolds cosy but stylish decor were a force to be reckoned with. Friendly atmosphere a lovely Sunday buzz. Absolutely delicious food. The pork and the beef, and the trimmings were phenomenal genuinely. Thanks guys see you again soon.

Stopped in for dinner between school activities with my daughter…seated right away and we received prompt and friendly table service. Wonderful ‘nibblers’ and main dishes, we very much enjoyed the olives and harrissa humus before our peri peri chicken and wagyu burger arrived. Great flavors, tender and perfectly cooked meat. We will definitely come again.Food & drinks: Only came for the dinner and will definitely come again!

We had a delicious meal at the Porch House tonight. Nathalie was our server and the service was excellent. The trout and the chicken were both excellent and the baked Camembert delicious. Highly recommend and would return.

Great food and friendly service. Prices are a touch high, but this is an establishment worth supporting.

This Inn is historically significant so a genuine treat to come and stay in even if you're not that into history. The room we stayed in was amazing, probably the best room I've stayed in, in the UK.Expect exposed beams and wooden furniture, simple lighting and a modern TV(use your own hotspot though to use netflix etc). The bathroom was brilliant too, old school but still clean and sheikh.Only one minor complaint but it's to be expected in old buildings, the bath/shower will never get really hot , lukewarm at best so if you like really hot showers you're out of luck.Would come again and recommend it.

"Had lunch at this restaurant recently and had a pretty decent experience. The food was average; it wasn't bad, but it didn't particularly stand out in terms of flavor or creativity. Considering the quality, the prices did seem a tad high. On a positive note, the staff were notably friendly and took their responsibilities seriously, which added to the overall pleasantness of our visit. The ambiance of the restaurant is its saving grace – it's cozy and well-decorated. If you value a warm atmosphere and cordial service over culinary innovation, this restaurant might still be worth a visit."
