We were on a coach trip with GB tours staying at warners Holme Lacy, one of our trips out was to Tewksbury, where we only stayed for less than 2 hours not long enough really. We were told by the driver that we were booked in for a cream tea at the Abbey tea rooms which had opened specially for us. He dropped us of up the road and 24 of us went in, well what a surprise the owner was waiting to greet us the tables were all set with pots of tea and a large scone with separate butter, jam & clotted cream which was delicious, the place was lovely & warm. Think the whole party agreed we could have stayed there all day looking at all the memorabilia everywhere you could see even the coins stuck to the chairs and the outside toilets worth a visit. It is an amazing place well worth a visit and my husband and I have said we will return one day

What a fabulous place. On arriving we couldn’t stop looking at the fantastic collection of memorabilia. Brought back so many memories. Stopping reminiscing long enough to look at the menu we chose sandwiches and a toasted melt. They arrived quickly and everything was delicious and very generous portions at a more than reasonable price. We met and chatted with the owners who were super friendly. If you want tasty food in an interesting setting served by friendly staff you must visit this restaurant. Highly recommended and we will certainly be returning.

What a lovely experience - like visiting the home of your favourite Great Auntie! Set in a gorgeous ancient building, and surrounded with curios from days gone by, this is a fun place to tarry awhile. We all thoroughly enjoyed our mighty generous portions of homemade roast beef dinner, with lashings of gravy - a real treat for a cold November Monday lunchtime! The meat was very tender and the food generously piled up high, and was incredible value too. We noticed that whatever folks ordered - it came in mighty generous portions. A lovely homely and quirky experience - we shall definitely call in again when we return.

We had an amazing experience visiting this coffee shop. Everywhere you look there is something from the 60s era. The place has been made with love and passion and that's why is so special! If you are at the area don't miss it!

A fabulous "proper" tea room. Wonderful quirky decor - will keep you fascinated and nostalgic for hours! Beautiful flowers. Spotless despite all the memorabilia. Delicious food! We had the afternoon tea - you'd struggle to find better. Home made scones, lovely jam, clotted cream and fresh fruit, freshly made sandwiches with tasty cheese and thickly sliced, home cooked ham, rounded off with a large pot of tea! Perfect!

We visited for a Sunday roast lunch. What a treat! A superb traditional, wonderfully cooked meal, presented with all the trimmings. Best homemade puddings we’ve had for years. The service was first class, the atmosphere was friendly and homely. A real ‘must visit’ if you’re ever in Tewkesbury. We will return ?

Fascinating place full of interesting items from times gone by Family Sunday lunch get together. Atmosphere was exceptional. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good home cooked food that was so tasty and good size portions. Especially liked the roast potatoes. Great selection of home made desserts that were of equally high quality and delicious.
