We were on a coach trip with GB tours staying at warners Holme Lacy, one of our trips out was to Tewksbury, where we only stayed for less than 2 hours not long enough really. We were told by the driver that we were booked in for a cream tea at the Abbey tea rooms which had opened specially for us. What a fabulous place. On arriving we couldn’t stop looking at the fantastic collection of memorabilia. Brought back so many memories. Stopping reminiscing long enough to look at the menu we chose sandwiches and a toasted melt. What a lovely experience - like visiting the home of your favourite Great Auntie! Set in a gorgeous ancient building, and surrounded with curios from days gone by, this is a fun place to tarry awhile. We all thoroughly enjoyed our mighty generous portions of homemade roast beef dinner, with lashings of gravy - a real treat for a cold November Monday lunchtime!
