Five of us went for lunch on Saturday, food was excellent (great onion rings!), service was good, had to ask a couple of times for the bill, other than that we were all happy with the overall experience. we would definitely return.Food & drinks: see above.

We visited for lunch. I have been before but not for several years. The menu was as good as when I first visited. Today, I ate wild mushrooms on sourdough toast, truffled ricotta, fried golden-yolk egg, gremolata, Lincolnshire Poacher followed by sticky toffee pudding with clotted cream ice cream. The main was beautifully seasoned and so flavoursome. The pudding was delicious too. I will definitely be back.

Food & drinks: Appaling waiting timeTable not ready for at least a half hourWaiting a whole hour for the main mealOne member of the family not able to eat with us as wrong selection broughtStaffing poor and I would have preferred being denied a tableIt completely ruined Mother’s DayAlso promised a refund of my reservation but this has not happened

What a find. We usually stop at our daughters nearby but with her away we booked here. We were given a room upgrade - a very comfortable family suite. With the Sunday night deal we ate in the restaurant both for supper and breakfast which had lots of glutenfree options. Great quality food and welcoming service. We had no noise issue from the road. Will look at other hotels in this group as we were impressed.Food & drinks: Gluten free friendly

Warm and friendly. Good food, nice booze and dog friendly enough for Hazel to drift off.

This was our 4th stay and The Beckford Inn never disappoints. Clean and stylish rooms. Outstanding dinner. We did the addition of the dinner option on the booking which worked out well. We like it because the rooms are consistently good and dinner has been exceptional each time so no need to hunt out somewhere new. I suspect we will continue to stay here when visiting relatives.Rooms: Clean, well designed, stylish and comfortable. Lots of little extras as well.Nearby activities: Very close to Broadway if you want chocolate box Cotswolds.Food & drinks: Exceptional. Great non-alcoholic options

Good size room, beautifully furnished with lots of lovely special touches and surprises. Warm and inviting with lots of towels and hot water. Great shower and bath. Only sad about the army of elephants in room above us that kept us awake!Service and food really lovely as always. Breakfast was superb. Such a welcoming and friendly place. I love it here.Eating area of pub was a tad scruffy as in chips left under our table and crumbs on seats. Also there were cobwebs in our room that had been missed. Can only assume short staffed as this is not usual.Food & drinks: The food here was divine. Compliments to the chef.

Just back from a short stay at The Beckford Inn.From the moment we arrived until our (all too soon) departure, we felt welcomed and valued.Nothing was too much trouble, the personal service was exceptional. Our room was lovely - well decorated with quality furnishings and fitments and little additions like a Roberts radio and included drinks in the mini-fridge. The bed was really comfortable, the shower room spotless. So impressed by the attention to detail throughout.Supper and breakfast options were varied, tasty and freshly cooked to order - not to mention the bonus Wednesday's 25% discount offered to Butcombe Loyalty Club members. Specials include fresh catch of the day from Brixham. We had gilthead bream which was delicious. We shall most definitely return. Highly recommend.
