Disappointing. Been here before, but today beer not 100% (end of barrel?). Food tasteless (veg wellington), wife’s fish and chips, chips full of fat. Eating area cold. Sorry, but won’t be back.

Fabulous Christmas Day Lunch with family. Hosts were fantastic, service was impeccable and the planning was amazing. The food was superb, from starters to dessert. It was brought to the table with happy and smiling staff, the ambience was perfect for the day. Some of the best roast sirloin I have ever eaten. The chefs and kitchen team deserve recognition too as they worked amazingly well together to get all the food out on time. Would happily book Christmas lunch again and will definitely be going back in 2024.

Stayed here last night, lovely room overlooking the river and a fantastic breakfast this morning. A very friendly pub with good beer and wine along with great food that is more than pub food. It is very dog friendly as well, will definitely stay again when visiting the area.

We (group of 4) had a festive meal at the Fleet and it was a fantastic experience. The service was great, the food was excellent and good value. It was a memorable evening - compliments to the chef and the rest of the staff. Thank you!

We stayed for two nights (Christmas Eve night and Christmas night) and enjoyed Christmas Day lunch. We brought our collie dog - the whole place is dog-friendly. There are three boutique rooms not attached to the main pub building, so they provide complete peace and quiet. Our room was very comfortable, with a great view of the River Severn and the surrounding countryside. There was a well-equipped mini-bar. The en suite facilities were excellent and there was a large TV screen and a strong wifi. Christmas lunch was superb in every respect and the breakfast menu was impressive. The position of the pub is brilliant for a walk along the river to Tewksbury (3 miles, about 50 mins), although we could not complete this as the towpath was exceptionally muddy, following recent downpours. Lots of other picturesque local walks nearby. Above all, Ant, George and their assistants were so friendly and helpful. They even provided a delicious hamper of food on Christmas night. We had a wonderful time, and it made our Christmas. Highly recommended.

Living in the village this has been our 'go to' place for the occasional couple of drinks or impromptu dinner out. We booked in for Christmas Day, and couldn't have been more happy with our decision. Food was plentiful and fantastic, but more importantly the atmosphere was perfect, the staff all seemed genuinely happy to be there. Service never felt rushed and they couldn't do enough to make it a special day and went above and beyond. Ant, George and the rest of the team, thank you for making it a great day, when are you opening bookings for next year?!

Five of us went to the Fleet for lunch on Christmas Day and were completely blown away by the standard of food, service and atmosphere. We opted for the traditional lunch and we’re not disappointed. The generous portions were freshly cooked from the best quality produce. The waiting staff were polite, courteous and willing to go the extra mile. We have dined out elsewhere for Christmas lunch in previous years and this one was by far the best. Congratulations to all who provided us with a memorable day.

This is a wonderful place for an event. The food is very good, the beer (Butcombe) is well kept. And the venue itself is marvellous – picture-perfect setting on the banks of the Avon, in the beautiful village of Twyning. They have an extensive terrace going down to the river, with paved, covered and lawn areas and plenty of outdoor seating. It is dog-friendly and they have good car parking too.Food & drinks: Would recommend the sharing platters; we also enjoyed sandwiches, burgers and both skinny and chunky chips.

Firstly the location and views are pretty special, a lovely looking pub, with a sizeable outdoor seating area overlooking the river which I look forward to visiting again in the spring or summer months to experience this venue outdoors. The interior was clean and stylish. The ladies toilets were clean and nice smelling with lovely hand washes etc. The service from the moment we walked through the door to the time we left was amazing!! The female waitress was wonderful, it’s refreshing to see happy, friendly staff these days! Service with many smiles and a super friendly yet non imposing vibe! We were a party of 8 and nothing was too much trouble. Super accommodating, and made fantastic menu suggestions for all and a gluten intolerant person in our group. The food was delicious, highly recommended the haddock in batter, the lightest fluffiest non greasy gluten free batter I think we’ve ever tasted, and the scotch eggs were a creative twist on the norm version! Just delicious. Huge compliments to the chef!! Really could not fault a thing during our visit here and would highly recommend to all. I was also delighted to hear they offer accommodation and business meeting facilities. Will definitely be back in 2024. Thanks so much for the wonderful hospitality! Keep up the good work. ?

We had a wonderful 2 day 3 night stay at the inn. The rooms were nice a bit dark for the ladies to do makeup at a mirror. The food was wonderful, 3 breakfasts 1 dinner. We did basically have the place to ourselves. Meg was excellent in the mornings hosting all 3 guests in the place. With the river flooded we had 2 days of incredible sunrises.

Lovely old fashion pub with pleasant and helpful staff. Great Asian specials as well as traditional pub food on offer. We will visit again.

We met another couple for lunch and we were very glad we chose the Fleet. The other couple was late, but this did not cause a problem with staff, who were very helpful. The food was excellent and we enjoyed the meal. We'll be back!Food & drinks: A good range of options, all the meals were very tasty. Prices were reasonable given the quality.

We had a brilliant night here celebrating a 40th birthday. The Fleet Inn went out of their way to set up a corner of the pub, with a partition making it more private. George, our server was incredible! So thoughtful, friendly and welcoming and made the night really memorable. The food was delicious and I would highly recommend visiting.
